The Discovery Layer
Notes on turning vague technical curiosity into concrete experiments, prototypes, and sharper engineering judgment.
→Liam Gomez / 0xlgmz
A portfolio and field journal for software, systems thinking, AI dev tooling, and the discoveries that change how I build.
static-first
Built as a Cloudflare-ready portfolio and writing system.
DevOps
It's been over a month now since Apple released Container at WWDC 2025 and it's awesome!
Positioning
This site is for the work that sits between daily engineering and long-form reflection: prototypes, AI-assisted workflows, systems notes, and project writeups that explain what was learned.
The first version is intentionally static. Posts and projects live in MDX, deploy through Cloudflare Pages, and can evolve toward richer Cloudflare-native services only when the site has a clear runtime need.
Latest writing
Notes on turning vague technical curiosity into concrete experiments, prototypes, and sharper engineering judgment.
→A practical look at where AI coding tools accelerate software work, where they distort judgment, and how to keep ownership intact.
→Exploring the scripts, agents, prompts, and workflows that remove friction from everyday engineering without becoming a platform.
→Reflections on technical learning through debugging, shipping, reading source, and documenting the parts that finally clicked.
